About the Ecommerce Forum South Africa (EFSA)
The Ecommerce Forum South Africa (EFSA) is a national chapter of the Ecommerce Forum Africa (EFA), a Pan-African body that represents the common interests of the ecommerce/digital trade sector. The organization is there to ensure that the sector interests are taken into account as the rules on digital trade for the AfCFTA are prepared. According to the African Union (AU), ecommerce will become the “bloodstream” of trade nationally, continentally and globally in the future. The EFA therefore forms the foundation for providing a central repository for information and research as well as coordinating support and aid for training opportunities across the Continent.
EFSA’s mission is to increase awareness, confidence and capability of the ecommerce (online selling) sector in South Africa and to promote inclusivity in the sector. The EFSA is the forum for all participants in the Ecommerce industry — working cohesively with each other to enrich the overall ecommerce industry in South Africa.
