EXHIBITOR NEWS: AWARD WINNING OMAR WHISKY WILL BE SHOWCASED IN SOUTH AFRICA
The Taiwan whisky brand, only found online in South Africa currently, will be making appearance in Johannesburg for the first time as its supplier looks for new partners.
Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Coporation (TTL) is the biggest manufacturer and distributor of cigarettes and alcohol in Taiwan. TTL will be also be bringing Taiwanese beer and fruit wine for the first time. “We join the show to bring our reputed brands to Africa and look forward to connecting with from Africa, and all over the world,” said a pre-show statement by the state-owned company.
Setup in 1898, Tobacco and Liquor Corporation (TTL) has 125 branches and more than 40,000 channel partners selling its products and its looking to expand.
The company says: “SAITEX is a biggest trade show in Africa, it is a better a chance for us to take the first step. Also, we expect to connect to buyers in Africa.”
SAITEX 2017, runs alongside Africa’s Big 7, the continent’s premier food and beverage show, which are part of Retail & Hospitality Week 2017 at The Gallagher Convention Centre in Johnannesburg.
