Delivering new trade opportunities
With 54 signatories of AfCFTA, the new trading block is forecasted to significantly boost African trade relations. According to a report from the World Bank, intra-continental exports are estimated to increase by 81% while the increase from non-African countries would be around 19%.
The trade regulations are set out to increase transparency, improve access to markets, accelerate the transition to a digital economy and develop better business services such as management tools, software, finance, marketing and e-commerce.
